I've been meaning to upload this for some time now, I did this last summer (winter for us ozzies) in a massive sketch book.

Lots of conceptualizing here, this must be the 30th time I've tried to sketch it, and this is the only time it felt "right". At first I wanted the machine guns in the hands, but it didn't fit the whole "form follows function" thing. The idea was this the "cyclops" is a civilian heavy industrial design, with lots of safety and back up features that has been "militarized". It can move on all fours or on its hind legs, much of it's armour is centered around the pilot and power-plant. There's less emphasis on survivability of the actual unit than on mobile versatile firepower. I tried to make this as practical as possible, low on armour but plenty of firepower, while possessing full mobility.
